Texas Adult Driver Education Course
Texas adults between the ages of 18 – 24 are required by state law to complete an adult driver education course to receive a drivers licence, if they did not previously complete a drivers education program as a teen.
Adults 25 and over can take our course as well. The advantage for 25 and older adults is that our course includes six hours of instruction and the DPS written test. Texas Adult Drivers Ed Requirements

The Texas adult driving course is simple, effective and designed to help you get licensed as quick as possible. 90.4% of our students pass the online drivers test on the first try, but if for some reason you do not pass the first time, we provide up to three attempts. Six Hour Adult Drivers Education Course
After completing the 6 hour drivers education course and printing your ADE-1317 driver education certificate, visit your local DPS office to schedule your road test and obtain your Texas drivers license.
If you are not quite ready to take the DPS road test, you can opt to have the DPS issue a Texas learners license. With your learners license, you can legally drive with a licensed driver over the age of 21 in the passenger seat, until you are ready to take the final DPS road test.
